Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using CardBounty (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use CardBounty. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information and keep it current. One person or entity per account.
3. What CardBounty is
CardBounty is a reverse marketplace for trading cards. Bounty Posters post "bounties" describing cards they want, and Bounty Fillers respond offering to fill them. The Service provides discovery, messaging, and a two-sided reputation system. Posting bounties is free for bounty posters.
4. Transactions are between users
CardBounty is not a party to any sale and does not currently process payments or hold funds. Bounty Posters and Bounty Fillers arrange and settle transactions directly between themselves. You are solely responsible for evaluating cards, counterparties, condition, authenticity, shipping, and payment. CardBounty does not guarantee any listing, response, card, or user.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to post false, misleading, infringing, or unlawful content; not to harass other users; not to circumvent the reputation system; not to scrape or abuse the Service; and not to use CardBounty for any purpose other than its intended trading-card use. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you post (bounties, messages, ratings). You grant CardBounty a non-exclusive license to host and display that content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit.
7. Ratings and reputation
After a deal, users may rate each other. Ratings must reflect genuine experiences. Manipulating ratings or posting retaliatory or fraudulent ratings is prohibited.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardBounty is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes, losses, or transactions arising between users.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or for conduct that harms the Service or other users.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
